The sixth annual Celebration will once again bring together global experts, advocates, practitioners and academics with K-12 educators to create a unique professional development experience where knowledge meets inspiration.
Speakers this year include Brian Williams (NBC Nightly News Anchor and Managing Editor); Dr. Mehmet Oz (cardio-thoracic surgeon and Emmy Award winning nationally syndicated talk show host); Oliver Sacks (best-selling author and professor of neurology and psychiatry at Columbia University Medical Center); Leymah Gbowee (documentarian and executive director of Women Peace and Security Network Africa); Karen Cator (director of the Office of Educational Technology at the U.S. Department of Education); Milton Chen (senior fellow at the George Lucas Educational Foundation); Charlotte Danielson (author and founder of The Danielson Group); Diane Ravitch (education historian and author); and many more who will address the Arts, English Language Arts, Global Awareness, Health & Wellness, Instructional Techonlgoy Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM), Social Studies, Special Education and Whole School Issues.
