GSE alum Sarah Noel [FCRH ’02 (Psychology), GSE ’05 (Mental Health Counseling)] is a licensed Mental Health counselor working with teens and adults, as well as a Person-Centered Topic Expert, publishing monthly online articles for GoodTherapy.org.

In her most recent article, “How To Survive Thanksgiving (When You Aren’t Feeling Thankful),” she outlines strategies for getting through the festivities while dealing with depression:

“Picture it: Thanksgiving Day, 2011. Ugh. If you are one of the millions of Americans who is suffering with depression, this may feel like an impossible, unanswerable question…Fortunately, Thanksgiving isn’t here just yet. So, let’s take a step back and think about what you might do to keep the holiday from worsening your already beleaguered emotional state.”
