Father Thomas C. Machalski (MSE in Educational Administration and Supervision ’96) was installed  as the third chancellor in the history of Orchard Lake Schools in Oakland, Michigan, in a ceremony held on February 19th by Archbishop of Detroit Allen Vigneron. 

“I am committed to continue to do all I can to support the Prep in its mission of providing young men with the ‘moral guidance, discipline and education to become Christ-like models of service and leadership for the world’ in an atmosphere founded upon our Polish-American heritage and legacy. I am so proud to be a son of St. Mary’s Prep,” Machalski said.

Steven Spitz (MSE in Counseling Psychology, ’92) has joined the writing staff of UnLeashMagazine.com, where he will be writing advice columns and informative articles on pet wellness as well as insightful how-to guides.  As well as being a noted specialist in pet care and pet product manufacturing, Spitz is CEO of Big Apple Pet Supply.

Rashid Ferrod Davis (MSE in Administration & Supervision ’03), founding Principal of Pathways in Technology Early College High School (P-Tech) recently published Success in College Can Start on the Ballfield” in the New York Times’ School Book.  The article discusses the importance for students of playing and supporting team sports in building school community.
