Alumni Honors

Genna Reiter (MSE School Counseling, ’09) is recognized in the September edition of the Springfield Patch for her commitment to Special Education in Springfield, Pennsylvania.  Genna is a second and third grade Special Education teacher at Sabold Elementary, dedicated to providing the best possible instruction to her students: “I love the sense of fulfillment I feel when my students accomplish tasks that most people, child or adult, take for granted,” said Reiter. “This is literally my dream job and I am thankful everyday for it.”

Amanda Winklesas (MSE Curriculum & Teaching, ’05) has been selected by the Buffalo Niagara 360’s young professionals program as one of ten “Spotlight Professionals” who are anticipated to positively impact the community in the coming year.  Amanda is a Curriculum and Instructional Specialist at 3rd Learning, an award-winning educational technology company providing standards-based software systems and applications to educators worldwide.  Amanda develops curriculum aligned to Common Core standards, and brings her insight to the needs of educators for the development of standards-based technology platforms.
