McGraw Hill Education Presents College & Career Readiness Twitter Chat, 2/7/13

McGraw-Hill Education invites GSE students, faculty, staff and alumni to join a Twitter chat on the topic of “College and Career Readiness (CCR).”

Thursday, February 7th

Jeff Livingston (@livingjeff), McGraw-Hill Education’s senior vice president of education policy and a vocal proponent of reinventing high school, and Rashid Davis (@rashidfdavis), founding principal of Pathways in Technology Early College High School (P-TECH) and GSE alumnus (’03), will lead a live chat that will discuss many important CCR topics such as:
  • Why a 4-year college is not the only postsecondary choice for high school students;
  • Why vocational school is not a dirty word;
  • Competency-based learning and the concept of the ageless classroom;
  •  The role of adaptive technology in college readiness;
  • How career readiness can be instilled in high school students;
  • When is too young to talk to kids about college & career readiness;
  • How the U.S. can overcome its extreme skills gap.
