Congratulations to Mark Woodard (’07) on his new position as principal of Parsons Memorial Elementary School in the Harrison Central School District in Harrison, New York! Mark has served in a number of teaching and leadership roles, including a fourth and fifth grade teacher, literacy coach, assistant principal, and then principal of the Toquam Magnet Elementary School in Stamford, Connecticut.

Steven M. Kaplan (’86) has published three new dictionaries:
English/Spanish and Spanish/English Legal Dictionary, Fourth Edition,
Essential English/Spanish and Spanish/English Legal Dictionary, Second Edition, and
Wiley’s English-Spanish Spanish-English Chemistry Dictionary, Second Edition 

Mr. Kaplan is the author of fourteen scholarly dictionaries in multiple areas of expertise, including psychology and psychiatry, chemistry, electrical and computer engineering, business, and law. Together, these dictionaries provide over 1,000,000 entries.

Marie Menna Pagliaro, Ph.D. (’78) has had a fifth and sixth book published by Rowman and Littlefield. Their titles are Mastery Teaching Skills: A Resource for Implementing the Common Core State Standards (2012) and Academic Success: Applying Learning Theory in the Classroom (2013).

Dr. Pagliaro is a professional development consultant and former full professor and Director of the Teacher Education Division at Dominican College, Chair of the Education Department at Marymount College, a supervisor of student teachers at Lehman College of the City University of New York, and Chair of the Science Department and teacher of chemistry, general science, and mathematics in the Yonkers Public Schools.
