Alumni Notes: Rashid Ferrod Davis (’03) on President Obama’s Visit to P-Tech

Ed. in Administration and Supervision ’03) writes about providing opportunity for America’s young people to chart a pathway from high school to college and career, and President Barack Obama’s inspirational visit to P-Tech. Last February, the President praised P-Tech in his State of the Union address, and affirmed his support of their learning and teaching models in a moving speech at the school last week. Click here and here to read more.

Davis is the founding principal of Pathways in Technology Early College High School (P-Tech), which is a “turnaround” institution for grades 9 through 14 focusing on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, with partners including the New York City Department of Education, the New York City College of Technology, The City University of New York’s Early College Initiative, and IBM.
