Alumni Notes: GoodTherapy from Sarah Noel (’05), "Therapists in Therapy: Madness or Just What the Doctor Ordered?"

If you somehow discover that your therapist is in his or her own therapy, don’t be alarmed. Rather, take it as the good sign that it is. In Sarah Noel’s most recent article, Therapists in Therapy: Madness or Just What the Doctor Ordered?, she discusses some of the reasons one might be able to take comfort in knowing that his/her therapist is seeing a therapist of their own.

Sarah Noel, MS, LMHC [FCRH’ 02 (Psychology), GSE ’05 (Mental Health Counseling)] is a licensed Mental Health Professional working with teens and adults, as well as a Person-Centered Topic Expert publishing monthly online articles for GoodTherapy.org.
