Dean James Hennessy To Receive Award From NYCDOE Emerald Society

On Friday, March 7, 2014, The New York City Department of Education Emerald Society will be honoring Dr. James Hennessy with the Pro Deo Et Patria Award

Dr. Hennessy began his Fordham career in 1974 as the coordinator of counseling programs and later became chair of the Division of Psychological and Educational Services. He was selected to be the Dean of the Fordham’s Graduate School of Education in 2005 and has served in this capacity since. Dr. Hennessy has co-authored several books and has published extensively in the psychological and criminal justice¬†literature. Under his leadership Fordham has developed a partnership organization with the DOE that serves schools in all five boroughs.
