Jonah Kruvant ’11 (M.S.T, Adolescence English) will publish his first novel, The Last Book Ever Written, in April.

Follow Detective Victor Vale, who finds himself writing a manuscript that becomes the world’s last book.

In a futuristic society where all citizens have computer chips in their brains, Victor Vale leads a fairly typical life. He is an officer of the law with greater ambitions, a family man, and a dutiful citizen of the Nation.

Yet when the Chief assigns him a case to go undercover and expose a community of ‘creators,’ artists and writers who have to hide their craft, Victor finds himself strangely compelled to write, and begins to unravel hidden truths about the world, even uncovering an astonishing secret from his past.” Synopsis via Turn the Page Publishing

According to Jonah, “The Last Book Ever Written satirizes our competitive, success-driven society, foresees the effects of the economic recession, and warns what could happen if we let technology get out of hand.” Read the entire essay on how The Last Book Ever Written was conceptualized.

Congratulations, Jonah!
