Human Resiliency Institute in the News: Veterans Day

The Human Resiliency Institute’s Edge4Vets program continues to make strong progress in its effort to help veterans create successful “military to school” transitions, as demonstrated by WPIX-11‘s broad coverage of the program over Veterans Day.

Additionally, on November 10th, The New York Daily News featured an article about Jose Lopez, a Navy veteran and teacher at the South Bronx Job Corps, who volunteered to take 70 students to march in the Veterans Day Parade.  Lopez, who teaches computer training, spent two decades in the Navy and is now pursuing a master in Buisness Administration at Fordham. He credits Fordham’s Edge4Vets (which helps veterans turn strengths from their military service into “tools” to meet the challenges of civilian life) in helping him succeed.
